Nov 17: Frankenstein: The Anatomy Lesson (2025) [DOCUMENTARY] [New] – Yeah I gave the film itself 4 stars I think, it was really good, but I didn’t enjoy it as much as the Turkish series, and I’m not into the story of Frankenstein as much as I enjoy Dracula and its adaptations. I think Del Toro has peaked in terms of what he wants to achieve, but I gave this documentary 5 stars because I loved hearing about how the whole crew on the film pulled it together and worked as a team to achieve the effects people are raving about. Massive congrats to everyone involved on this project.
My lowest rating in 2025 was 1.5 stars, and it was for 弟切草/St John’s Wort (2001) dir. Ten Shimoyama, logged on Sep 02. This one just wasn’t for me.
That’s a wrap! I’ll try and make it more fun next year but this was fun for me to put together. I used the filters on my Diary to get the stats, and that was fun.
