#AScareADay – Day 12 – The Little Room by Madeline Wynee
#AScareADay – Day 12 – Today’s story is about a room that only sometimes exists. I’ve got a story of my own like that from my own neurodivergent childhood, so I’m sharing that for Day 12!

#AScareADay – Day 11 – An Itinerant House by Emma Frances Dawson
#AScareADay – Day 11 – A cursed room in a house… a lady scorned by her lover who marries someone else… it’s all very dramatic. I enjoyed the galvanism aspect, used here as a form of early defibrillation. Today, I’ve written a little necromancy piece in response. I might do something with it later.

#AScareADay – Day 10 – The Dark Angel by Lionel Pigot Johnson
#AScareADay – Day 10 – Today’s challenge read is a poem about the narrator’s internal, spiritual struggles. My response is an extract from THE DAY WE ATE GRANDAD, introducing Wes Porter.

#AScareADay – Day 8 – The Truth, The Whole Truth, And Nothing but the Truth by Rhoda Broughton
#AScareADay – Day 8 – Today’s short story is epistolary and I really enjoyed it! Rhoda Broughton is worth a read. My response to it is non-fiction this time, in honour of the title, with some recommendations for other media on similar themes, plus folklore it reminded me of (yes, the vampire furniture of course!)
